Trust Tuesday 30/06/20

This #TrustTuesday Valerie shares a prayer for the current times we are in …

Loving Lord

Thank you for your steadfastness and great love to us, especially during difficult times.

We are humbled by your grace: please help us to trust entirely in you as we ask you to regenerate our hearts, and minds, and actions.

Keep guiding us in our daily lives as we serve you in this place.  The way we do this has, perhaps, had to change during the last months but may we never be any less enthusiastic in our service or our praise and worship.

We ask you to continue speaking to us through the scriptures and to keep us giving thanks each day for all we have.

Please help us to trust in you as we minister to those who don’t yet know you.  May our virtual services, as well as those on the television and radio, be a blessing to many, especially to those who don’t know your wonderful ways.

We ask you to help us as a church to be well prepared for the time when things start to return to the point where we can meet with our church families again, when we may welcome new faces in our midst and also to be ready for those who may return to us.

We trust that you will equip us with the warmth of welcome and enable us and prepare us to answer questions and to draw alongside people, showing our faith and love to others.  Help us to be an encouraging and welcoming fellowship.

We ask you to bless all that is going on here in the parish of Scotby and Cotehill with Cumwhinton, especially as we now formulate plans to reopen our churches for individual prayer and, later, for services when this is safe and possible.  We ask you to be close to those making these important decisions and that it will be your will.

We pray for those in our midst who are dealing with changes in their lives because of the present situation: help them to trust in you and may they know that you are always with them .

Let us give thanks for all we have and put our trust in you , our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Amen
