This #ThoughtfulThursday Susanna shares the benefits of living close to Jesus …

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven” Ecclesiastes Ch 3 v 1
When I read this verse the other day I had a little giggle to myself! The reason being that I had been trying to rush my Lord, I’d been impatient, wanting my prayers answered more quickly!
We must ‘stop trying to work things out’ before their times have come. We need to accept the limitations of living one day at a time. When something comes to our attention, we should ask God whether or not it is part of today’s agenda? If it isn’t, release it to his care and go on about today’s duties.
When we follow this practise, there will be a beautiful simplicity about our lives: a time for everything and everything in it’s time.
The world around us can be messy and confusing, but a life lived close to Jesus is not complicated or cluttered. Jesus has overcome the world, so when we focus on Him, many things that once troubled us, will lose their power over us and allow us to have peace.
