Verse of the day – 1 Peter Ch1 v 3-4

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by His great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus from the dead. Now we live with great expectation and we have a priceless inheritance, an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.

To be born again is a magnificent gift from God. We are His for all time and beyond time, into eternity. No power can deny us our inheritance in heaven, we have this complete security. Even when we falter in our journey through life, He will never let go of our hand.

Do you need encouragement right now? Peter’s words offer joy and hope in times of trouble and he based his confidence in what God has done for us in Christ Jesus. We live in wonderful expectation of eternal life.

Our hope is not only for the future; eternal life begins when we trust Christ and join God’s family. 1 John 11-13 tells us WHOEVER believes in God’s Son has eternal life. You don’t need to wait for eternal life because it begins the moment you believe. You don’t need to work for it because it is already yours. You don’t need to worry about it because you have been given eternal life by God himself – and it is guaranteed.

This is true whether you feel close to God or far away from him. Eternal life is not based on feelings but on facts. God will help us to remain true to our faith, through whatever difficult times we must face. No matter what problems you have, your soul cannot be harmed if you have accepted Christ’s gift of salvation. You will receive the promised rewards.

What an AMAZING promise that is!
