I am truly blessed to be leading a church that is full of zeal for the kingdom of God, a church that believes in coming together, praising God no matter what the circumstances. And so members of our congregation, young and old, toddlers and grandparents, working and retired have come together to sing “The Blessing.” The song’s lyrics are based on Numbers 6 and is a famous benediction prayer often used to end a service with.
I just want to say thanks to all those who have come together from the safety of their homes to lift spirits with this powerful song. Thank you all for participating, and thanks to Matt and Aimee who have taken the initiative and put in all the hard work in producing The Parish Blessing, which has turned out beautifully and I hope will touch many.
I hope and pray that our church will not just simply sing this blessing, but each day will look for ways to be a blessing to others in practical ways.
God bless and hope you enjoy listening to this song.

Numbers 6:22-27 (NIV) 22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: 24 “‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ 27 “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
