Jen shares some encouraging verses for #ScriptureSaturday …
The words of the song “Lord, I Need You” by Matt Maher keep coming to mind when thinking of a scripture to share. Especially in our current circumstances, we need to sing out these words. When saying “Lord I need you”, we can rest in the peace that He hears our every cry. He is there in every situation. If we ever feel alone, then we can turn to Psalm 46 v 1-2
“God is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear”.
God is our refuge. God is our strength. When we feel like we can’t carry on, we can turn to Psalm 46 for the reassurance that no matter what challenges we face, God our loving Heavenly Father is always there for us and so we do not need to fear, we simply need to read these words and trust in Him.
We don’t always know the plans that the Lord has for us at times and this can be scary. We do, however, know that the Lord has a purpose for us and everything we go through is for a specific reason. A reason to strengthen us and shape us into the people that He wants us to be. We need to stand firm on His word, the Bible. Always remembering that He is in control and is our place of refuge throughout all things. Be encouraged and at peace by reading and trusting in the scriptures, His word that never changes…
“For I know the plans I have for you”. Jeremiah 29 v 11
