As a church we have financially supported MAF over the years. Stuart King who was one of the founders of MAF died in August at the age of 98. He and other young Christian airmen established the organisation, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary, shortly after the end of the 2nd World War, with the aim of reaching the far corners of the earth with the news of the gospel through flight and technology.
MAF state their vision “At MAF, we believe nothing should stop people from receiving the love of God and the essentials of life – no matter how remote they are. Our vision is to see ‘isolated people physically and spiritually transformed in Christ’s name.’ We use aviation and technology, because in many places those are the only ways to reach isolated people in need”.
