Matthew 6:9-13 (NIV) 9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’

This prayer can be divided into two parts: the God side and our side. This is the God side: our Father, Your name, Your kingdom, Your will. This is our side: give us, forgive us, lead us, deliver us.
We can look at these two sides as realignment and result. In the first we realign our lives to the Father, to His name, to His kingdom and to His will. In the second, we gain the benefits: He gives to us, forgives us, leads us and delivers us.
The emphasis when we pray should always be on the realignment, for if we try to get the results without realignment we will get nowhere.
Focus on realignment! Realign to God, THEN receive the benefits.
