Our present circumstances were unexpected. When we left our work, schools and churches in March many of us expected that things would get back to normal in a couple of weeks. Most people did not foresee the impact or the seriousness of the situation facing us, the change and turmoil the world would go through.

However, the Bible tells us that whilst everything around us may change, God remains the same throughout eternity. As He told Malachi “I the Lord do not change” (Malachi 3:6). His word and the promises made to us do not change either: “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8).

We may feel that we are being tossed around at the moment but today remember that you can anchor your life on God Himself. In Hebrews we are told that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). In a changing world we can trust our unchanging Lord. His love, His goodness and His promises are always true.
